Student Affairs Edible Pollinator Buffet
c. 2024
This garden blends beauty with bounty: fruiting herbs, root vegetables, and pollinator-friendly flowers have all been planted to support our bee, butterfly, and human campus community. Stop by to see native bumblebees working the Slender Mountain Mint (Pycnanthemum tenuifolium) and Black Raspberry (Rubus occidentalis) blossoms, and stay to get a taste of the Spotted Horsemint’s (Monarda punctata) spicy leaves.
Keep an eye out for one of the Environmental Stewards’ many peer education tabling events, where they will help educate on the types of plants present in this garden and why they are so important for campus biodiversity.
