Center for the Environment Renovation

Center for the Environment Renovation
The Center for the Environment stands apart from other campus buildings, nestled within the wooded expanse of our 189-acre Fred Stanback Jr. Ecological Preserve. Its design purposefully reflects its connection to nature and commitment to sustainability.
Current Phase: Completed
Project Details
The 2 year renovation addressed full building HVAC replacement and classroom and workspace allocations. The space plan revisions support the various Bachelor of Science sustainable and environmental study degrees. The Center can now support public events for related sustainability educational interests for academic and community learning. The building is available as an income-producing rental venue. The building's 20-year-old unsolved significant noise issue was resolved entirely with the new HVAC engineering details. An ADA restroom was built along with a new accessible exterior wheelchair bridge that feeds into the middle-level building door.
