I am from Salisbury North Carolina. My major is Environment and Sustainability with a minor in Theater Arts. I have participated in SGA, ENV Union, Eco Club, Chapel Scholars, Blue Masque, and been a Resident Assistant. The Catawba environmental department has provided a unique, personal experience that has helped me to grow immensely during my time here. After graduating, I will be attending the University of Georgia pursuing a Master of Urban Planning and Design as a part of the school’s College of Environment and Design.

Hi! My name is Maggie Marable. I am from Pittsfield, IL. I am graduating with a Bachelors in Accounting and a minor in Business Administration. I am a member of the indoor and beach volleyball team. I am a Residential Assistant and I am a member of FCA.  I also serve as Vice President for both ECO Club and NSLS.

He recognized my passion for mathematics and has spent a lot of time with me individually answering any questions I may have that are outside the scope of some classes. He has continued to introduce problems to me which not only challenge me to think critically, but also give him an opportunity to show me something new. My goal is to be the kind of professor that he was to me. Dr Baker, Dr Hunt, as well as Dr Zerger have given me so many opportunities to be a resource and a role model to students through recommending me for positions like the SMART Center, or asking me to be the Supplemental Instructor or Teaching Fellow for their classes. All three of these professors have given me great advice and advised me in various ways, and I am very thankful to have built a personal relationship with all them.

Hi! I am Bailee Hepler and I am from Rockwell, North Carolina. I am graduating with a major in Politics. I am planning to go on to teach and hopefully end up working in educational policy! Catawba College has been family since I first met with my freshman seminar class back in August of 2019. After graduation, I plan to use my degree to find a teaching job within Rowan County, or to create my own tutoring business. I am originally from Liberty, NC. My major is Mathematics with a minor in Secondary Education. During my time at Catawba, I was heavily involved in the different Ensembles within the Music Department, such as Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Pep Band, and Chamber Ensemble. "The experiences I have had with Catawba College are ones that will be with me for the rest of my life as well as the people I have met along the way as they will be my lifelong friends, family, and colleagues."

Daniel Allen: Daniel has been with me all four years, starting as my success coach Freshman Year,  and has been an active listener whenever I needed something and he has helped me with any problems I have had in my four years here. 

My Hometown is Philadelphia, Pa but I currently live in Charlotte, NC. I majored in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Catawba College. My experience in the Clinical Mental Health program continuously reminded me of my strength and dedication. I am proud to be a part of the Catawba family.

His stories bring the foundational information from the textbook to life, and for that, I am forever grateful.  Dr. Brejcha and Dr. Randall have always been very encouraging during the times when it's needed the most. The entire faculty of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program is amazing and I am honored that I had the opportunity to learn from each of them.  

After college, I plan on working with CLEAN AIRE NC in Charlotte, North Carolina and then eventually returning to a graduate program for my masters in Environmental Engineering.

Dr. ChaMarra Saner is a wonderful person who has always been supportive of me. I knew I could walk into her office just to talk and if I ever had a problem, she would work with me to help solve it. Michael is from a military family background and was born and raised in the Ft. Bragg area of Fayetteville, NC. He has earned a Master of Business Administration. I will be a high school math teacher at Davie County High School. I am from Lexington, NC. I am a double-major in Mathematics and Mathematical Finance with a minor in Secondary Education. I am a member of the volleyball program at Catawba, and I have also participated in SNCAE and SAAC during my time at Catawba.  I am so grateful to be part of the Catawba family. At Catawba, I have had the opportunity to prepare for my career as a math teacher while playing the sport that I love.

Employment: In August 2022, I began a full-time job at Davidson College as Assistant Director of Ticketing in the athletics department. This came after being a ticketing/marketing intern for the 2021-2022 school year. My plan is to stay at Davidson for as long as I see fit, and as of now I don't see myself leaving any time soon.

Not many places have professors that will do that, so I'm very thankful for them.

The Catawba College experience has been quite a unique ride, we are the Covid started in our freshman year, learning to be a flexible was a requirement.  Through it all the professors worked to ensure that we received the best education we could.

Special thanks to: Chase Tripp, God sure knew that I needed him when I met him.  He was so influential in getting me to start lifting and finding the passion I have for it now.  Our talks during the football seasons and the daily  check ins were always at a time I needed to be picked up a motivated.  He was one of the most influential person I met and made me enjoy my time at Catawba.  

Faith Watson is graduating in May of 2023 with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry and a minor in secondary education. She is from China Grove, NC and during her time at Catawba she has been involved with NSLS, and has been heavily involved with the chemistry department. After she graduates she plans to teach chemistry at a Rowan-Salisbury High school.

I was born and raised here in Salisbury, NC. I am graduating with a major in Political Science with a minor in Business Administration. In the fall I will be starting a Masters in Public Administration program to concentrate in Local Government Administration. During my time at Catawba I have been heavily involved in the Student Government Association as well as an active member of the Order of the Blue and White. Catawba has become a second home for me and the relationships I have formed with other students as well with faculty and staff will last a lifetime.

His classes have been some of the most interesting explorations of the field of political science and have taught me both a theoretical and practical understanding of the realm of politics and government. Dr. Feeney, Dr. Feeney is a genuinely kind person who takes interest in how his students are doing in and out of the classroom. He is an expert in his field, and it translates to the courses he offers.

I was able to experience the Distance Night school program on campus before the program switched over to fully remote. All of the professors were wonderful! The advisors go above and beyond to make sure you stay ahead and even work with you to get you back on track. I can say being a mother and working full time I almost wanted to give up a few times. They always were there to make sure I make it to the finish line. Without their fast responses and hard work this day wouldn't have been possible. Thank you forever and always!

Special thanks to: Pamela Thompson was my advisor and professor for a few courses before changing my major had a huge impact on my college career. She always said we have to get you to graduation. She believed in me more than I could believe I could keep pushing. My time at Catawba College really aided me in coming up with plans for my life once completing my undergraduate studies. It allowed me to establish meaningful connections with fellow students, professors, & other faculty on campus and gave me a much needed since of direction professionally and academically speaking. I live in Harrisburg, NC and will be graduating with an MHSCMHC. I am looking forward to being able to provide clinical mental health counseling services to the adolescent population after graduation and licensure. While Catawba was not a school I considered during high school, these last four years have been the best years of my life and I’ll forever be grateful for my time here.
