Borrowing technology:

• The items that are part of the Tech Lending Program are checked out on a first-come, first- served basis at the Digital Learning Lab in the CLB Library by current Catawba Library students, faculty, and staff with valid Catawba ID Card.
• Patrons with holds on their account may not checkout technology.
• The loan period is 3 days with no renewals.
• Equipment shall only be used by the patron checking out the equipment and usage must abide by Catawba College Acceptable Use Policy.
• Optional consultations are available to patrons who wish to receive an orientation on how to use any of the technology.

Regarding Equipment Condition:

• The equipment has been tested prior to loan and has been verified to be functioning properly.
• The equipment will be reset upon return; all content will be erased and no longer available after return.

Regarding Damages/Missing Items:

• Users are responsible for reporting damages or equipment malfunctions immediately.
• Users are responsible for all damages due to accident, neglect, abuse, or loss once the item has been checked out. In the event of damage or loss, full replacement value and/or all costs associated with repair or replacement of the equipment loaned will be billed to the user. Fees are listed on the back.
• Users will be charged for damages or missing items at or after check-in once the item has been examined.

Regarding Lateness:

• Users must return the equipment directly to a Digital Learning Lab staff member when it is due (not the library help desk or book drop off).
• Once an item is 72 hours overdue, it will be considered lost, and the user will be charged the replacement fee. Fees are listed on the back.
