Catawba College Appoints Sandra Quaye CFO/Vice President of Finance & Administration

Catawba College is pleased to announce the appointment of Sandra Quaye as their new Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance and Administration effective July 1st. Quaye brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to her new role.

“Sandra has such significant experience along with a genuine sense of shared vision and values about the future of our college,” said Catawba College President David P. Nelson. “We are confident her leadership will strengthen our stewardship of the considerable resources that support our mission.”

Quaye joins Catawba College after serving as the Vice President of Finance and Administration / Chief Financial Officer at Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner, Massachusetts. Before that, Quaye spent 21 years at Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, New Hampshire with seven as Vice President of Finance and Administration / Chief Financial Officer / Treasurer.

Prior to that she served as Interim Vice President and CFO at Franklin Pierce, after serving there for 14 years as Director of Finance and Accounting. Her extensive experience also includes Manager of Financial Systems and Senior Accountant.

Quaye will be responsible for the administration of all financial operations at the college, along with oversight of human resources, facilities, Information Technology, and capital projects. She will be a key partner with leaders across campus, guiding Catawba’s budget strategy and management. Quaye will oversee facilities master planning, major renovations, and new construction. Additionally, she will seek to develop new and expanded revenue sources and opportunities to foster sustainable growth.

Quaye’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment for Catawba, as the institution looks to build upon its rich history of academic excellence and community engagement. Her past work demonstrates a keen understanding of how to leverage exciting opportunities to invigorate campus life and enhance the overall student experience.

Quaye obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Fitchburg State College in Fitchburg, Massachusetts.
