Catawba College’s Ralph W. Ketner Hosts Inaugural Delta Mu Delta Induction Ceremony

Catawba College’s Ralph W. Ketner School of Business proudly hosted the inaugural induction ceremony for Delta Mu Delta on Thursday, April 16, at 3:30 p.m. in Hedrick Little Theatre.

Faculty, staff, and students gathered to recognize exceptional academic achievement and leadership in business. The ceremony honored students inducted into Delta Mu Delta as members of Catawba College’s Pi Phi Chapter, marking a significant milestone for the institution and its business program.

Delta Mu Delta is a prestigious international honor society that recognizes and encourages academic excellence of students pursuing business degrees. Membership is reserved for students who demonstrate high scholastic achievement and are in the top percentage of their class.

Special guest Cynthia Solari, representing the Delta Mu Delta Society Board of Directors, joined the Ketner School of Business in the induction ceremony, further highlighting the significance of this inaugural event.

In addition to student inductees, honorary members Imran Chowdhury, Angelia Bates, and Jennifer Yurchisin were also inducted. Notably, Jeremiah Nelson and Joanna Trammell—now faculty members in the Ketner School of Business—were originally inducted into Delta Mu Delta as students, making this a full-circle moment as they participated in the inaugural ceremony. Dr. Trammell and Angelia Bates will serve as faculty advisors for the Pi Phi Chapter.
