ITF will host "The X-Perience 2K11: GET LOST. LOSE YOURSELF"  for highly motivated, focused youth   (ages 10-21) at the North Carolina Performing Arts Center's Spirit Square July 18-24, 2011. The week-long conference features Master style performing arts workshops and a finale performance spotlighting teen talent.

Each summer, ITF facilitates  the conference for youth to exhibit their talents through music, dance and dramatic workshops. This intense, artistic learning environment helps promote self-confidence and foster an aspiration for an improved way of life. During the conference, youth engage in intense teambuilding exercises, such as swinging from ropes and climbing walls, which help to conquer fears and prepare for "real life" decision-making.

Youth who are aspiring artists, musicians, rappers, dancers, and technicians work closely with industry professionals to improve their talents. The event also includes special guest appearances and motivational speakers, concluding with a finale performance spotlighting teen talent. To date, over 3,500 youth have participated in The X-Perience.

The cost for the conference is FREE, but registration requires bringing two or more canned goods.

About ITF
Inspire The Fire is a non-profit organization that is committed to inspiring positive change in adolescents through faith, fun, and the arts. Through the mobilization of volunteers, ITF energizes and actively engages youth in innovative activities that cultivate educational, social and artistic development. Arts and humanities play a positive role in the lives of adults and youth. In particular, research shows that youth are able to express themselves more freely through the arts — contributing to a healthy spirit and mind. Young people engaged in the arts also tend to perform well academically and receive high marks on standardized tests.
