Brandy Jones, an assistant professor in Catawba College’s Department of Sport & Health Sciences and Clinical Education Coordinator of the Athletic Training program at the college, is the Public Relations Chair for the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers’ Association (MAATA), District III of the NATA (National Athletic Trainers’ Association). Jones applied for this position and was appointed to a one-year term that is renewable for up to four years.

In her role as Public Relations Chair, Jones will coordinate Athletic Training publicity for the states represented by District III.

Jones joined the faculty at Catawba in 2013. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training at Western Carolina University and her master’s degree in Athletic Training from East Stroudsburg University. She is in the process of completing her Doctorate of Education in Leadership at Valdosta State University.
