The Catawba College Board of Trustees elected a new slate of officers at its May meeting. Darlene Landis Ball of Greensboro, a 1962 alumna of Catawba, was elected chair of the board, succeeding Paul Fisher of Salisbury. Ball had served on the board since 2001 and served as its vice chair since 2008....

The Catawba College Board of Trustees elected a new slate of officers at its May meeting.

Darlene Landis Ball of Greensboro, a 1962 alumna of Catawba, was elected chair of the board, succeeding Paul Fisher of Salisbury. Ball had served on the board since 2001 and served as its vice chair since 2008.  

Ball, a native of Maryland, is retired as executive vice president of Burlington Industries of Greensboro. She is the widow of Ron Ball, and mother of two adult children, Vaden and Kristin.

Other officers elected include vice chair, Bill Graham '83 of Salisbury; treasurer, Barry Leonard '65 of Greensboro; secretary, Shirley Ritchie '52 of Salisbury; and assistant secretary, Deborah Messinger of Salisbury. Paul Fisher continues his membership service on the board of trustees as past chair.
