Dr. Sanford Silverburg, professor emeritus of political science at Catawba College, recently had a paper accepted for presentation at the International Organization of Social Sciences and Behavioral Research in Atlantic City, N.J., April 23-25. The paper is entitled "The Grotian Moment of Post-Intra-State Conflict: Accountability Process as a Normative Foundation of Jus Post Bellum."

Silverburg, a specialist in international relations and international law as well as the government and politics of the Middle East, served as a member of Catawba College's faculty between 1970 and 2011. He has published and lectured internationally, speaking to both academic and community groups, and has broad experience with government and military affairs.
