Dr. Tanjian Liang, an assistant professor of Sport and Health Science at Catawba College, is one of eight recipients of an International Alliance for Invitational Education Fellowship Award. This award will allow Liang, who joined the College at the beginning of the ’15-’16 academic year, free registration to attend the IAIE World Conference in New York Oct. 21-24.  The award also provides its recipients a free student membership to the organization. 

Liang earned his Bachelor of Education degree from East China Normal University. He holds his Master of Arts degree from the University of Findlay and his Ph.D. from the University of Northern Colorado.
