On November 22nd, members of Life Size, a pop/rock band made up of fulltime Catawba College students, will open for the Durham-based band, Bombadil, at Lee Street Theatre in Salisbury. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m.

Life Size members performing include Silas Boyle (Vocals/Guitar/Piano) of Louisville, Ky.; Jake Martin (Vocals/Guitar) of St. Louis, Mo.; and Allijah Motika (Vocals/Guitar/Piano) of Asheville; other Life Size members include Tevin Carr (Drums) of Statesville and Greg Moore (Bass/Vocals) of Durham.

Life Size plays an exciting mix of folk, pop, rock, R&B, blues and soul with tight, three-part harmonies and imaginative lyrics, a perfect complement to Bombadil's style, Life Size member Allijah Motika says. "This is a great opportunity for us because Bombadil is a phenomenal band with a quirky, high energy style that we really admire. I opened for them last spring at the Heritage Room in Salisbury and was blown away by their stage presence, songwriting, and likeability.

"We are really excited to create a night of music that mixes Life Size's inventive style with Bombadil's 'pop without boundaries,' " Motika concludes.

Life Size is currently working on its "Mockingbird Alarmclock" EP. Visit the Life Size website at www.reverbnation.com/lifesizemusic or follow them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/thelifesizemusic.

Bombadil has a new album out, "Metrics of Affection," which they describe as "brimming over with bubbly energy and masterful songwriting."   For more info about this Durham-based band, managed by Dolph Ramseur, a Catawba College visiting instructor of music under his independent Ramseur Records label, visit www.bombadil.squarespace.com.
