Catawba's Alpha Chi Chapter Named a Star Chapter

Catawba College's North Carolina Omicron chapter of Alpha Chi was recently recognized as a Star Chapter for the 2011-2012 academic year, one of only 32 chapters nationally to earn this designation.

The Omicron chapter will be formally recognized during the awards presentation at the 2013 National Convention in Nashville, Tenn., April 4-6.

Dr. Margaret Stahr, assistant professor of English at Catawba, serves as sponsor of Catawba's Alpha Chi chapter.

Alpha Chi has some 300 chapters in 45 states and the District of Columbia. Members are in the top 10 percent of juniors, seniors, and graduate students in all academic fields.
