The Catawba College Athletic Training Staff was named  the "South Atlantic Conference Athletic Training Staff of the Year for 2012-2013."

This is the fourth time that this staff has won the award and the second year in a row that they were voted on to receive this honor. This designation is equivalent to the "coach of the year" award and speaks well of the dedication and diligence of the athletic training staff to provide outstanding health care service not only to the Catawba College athletes, but also in how this staff cares for the visiting teams and takes on responsibilities for SAC tournament assignments.

In addition to Bob Casmus, Catawba's head athletic trainer, other athletic training staff members include Mike Eden, Brandon Auton, Leslie Dent and last year's staff intern, Lauren Moore. Dr. Jim Hand serves as coordinator for Catawba's athletic training program.
