"Scarletdale," a new comedy written and directed by Lexington's own Jason Roland, will premiere next week when the Hot Flash Players perform the two-act play at Tricia's Catering.

The play centers around the Scarletdale Beautification League, a group of mostly older ladies in a small Southern town who are concerned with beautification efforts, beauty pageants and small-town politics and manners. “Scarletdale is one of those sweet, small towns where blooming cherry trees line the streets in the spring and flags file down them on Memorial Day,” Roland writes at the beginning of the first act. Read more...
