Catawba College's Community Music program has Christmas Recitals for all students scheduled between 1:30 and 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 12 in the Omwake-Dearborn Chapel on campus. The recital is free and open to the public and members of the community are invited to attend.

Community Music's first senior citizens group piano class and group guitar class, Suzuki violin class, and the new Broadway and teen voice classes will all be performing for the first time at this event.

Registration for spring classes in the Community Music program is also underway. All current class schedules will remain the same. New classes include a Class I (Young Beginner) Guitar Group Class on Mondays at 3:30-4:20 and a Class II (Young Beginner) Guitar Group Class on Mondays at 4:30-5:20, as well as two Group Piano Classes for Beginners on Thursdays, including a Young Beginners Class at 4:00-4:50 p.m. and an Adult Beginners Class (for ages 14 and above) from 5:00-5:50 p.m. Also, a new Group Flute for Beginners will be offered on Fridays at 4:00-4:50 p.m. Limited spaces are available in each class, so early registration is suggested.

To register or for more information, contact Community Music Director Erin Harper by phone at (704) 881-1565 or e-mail at emharper@catawba.edu.
