Recognizing the need to give back to the community, the Catawba College Cheerleaders took a day off from practice to arm-knit scarves for those less fortunate in Salisbury.  The scarves will be donated to the homeless in Salisbury.

Cheerleader Cody Hummel of Salisbury was one of the participants in the projects and had this to say: “At first I wasn't sure about the whole knitting thing, then I figured ‘Why not? It's for a good cause.’ You hear a lot about big national organizations helping, but not much on helping our neighbors in need and it actually turned out to be kind of fun.”
