Catawba Honors students in Dr. Connie Lowery’s "Real vs. Reel Biology" class this fall have written, produced, and starred in an original short Sci-Fi movie.  The premier of this film, "Vector,"  will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5th in Tom Smith Auditorium on campus.

In the near future, students will be able to access knowledge by linking their brains directly to computers.  But, something terrible happens and a computer virus causes the students to become sick. When nobody seems to be able or willing to help them, the students take it in their own hands to find a solution before it is too late.

"Vector" features cameo appearances by faculty, staff, and administrators, including Catawba President Brien Lewis as "The President" and Dr. Lowery as "Nerdy Professor #1." It also stars the students in the class, including Christopher Bolick, Meredith Brown, Melissa Burch, Leah Constan-Tatos, Jessica Everett, Forest Fugate, Steven Gibson, Shekinah Gourley, Joshua Hill, Chris Money, Emily Olszewski, Jessica Parker, Verity Pryor-Harden, Cristin Ritchie, Emily Schilling, Zach Veitenheimer, with Frank Villa and Samuel Yeager.

The premier of "Vector" is free to attend, but students in the class will be collecting donations for Faithful Friends as a service project.
