NOTE: To ensure you are seeing the appropriate courses, don’t forget to select a session code (Traditional, Catawba Online, or Graduate) when searching, as shown below:

Your registration time is based on your number of earned hours. Those with higher credits earned register the earliest.  You will not be permitted to register before your listed registration time.  Current semester hours are NOT included in your classification. 

Students who wish to enroll in courses over the summer at another institutions MUST submit a Letter of Good Standing form to the Registrar’s Office and have it approved prior to enrolling in the course or the course will not transfer back to Catawba College. Course descriptions and course numbers from the transient institution should be submitted to the Registrar’s Office with the Letter of Good Standing request. Students who propose to take transient work are reminded that if they have earned 90 or more hours they must secure written permission from the Academic Policies and Standards Committee (ACPOL). 

REGISTRATION REMINDERS:

• YOUR ADVISOR WILL HAVE YOUR PIN.  Students must meet with their advisor prior to each registration period. Before making any changes to your original schedule agreed upon with your advisor, it is your responsibility to contact your advisor to discuss additional changes to your schedule.
• You will not be able to register if you have hold codes on your account. Please check your hold codes on CatLink and contact any office that has placed a hold code on your account to inquire what actions you must take to have it removed. 
• Traditional Students may take one (1) course (up to 4 credit hours) offered online through the traditional program per semester during the normal academic year (fall and spring semesters). All online courses that are offered through Catawba Online (including Acadeum) require that traditional students petition ACPOL for permission.
• Wait listing is available for most classes.  Remember that full-time students need to register for at least 12 hours per semester during the normal academic year (fall and spring semesters).  Waitlisted hours do not count as registered hours. **Waitlists are not available for winter or summer courses.**
• Internship Forms, Practicum Forms, and Independent Study Forms must be submitted and approved prior to the published last day to add for the applicable term/semester. Once final approval is received by the Registrar’s Office, the Registrar’s Office will register you for the course. It is your responsibility to verify the course has been added to your schedule prior to the published last day to add.
• Approval for credit overloads must be submitted by email to the Registrar’s Office by your advisor.
• It is your responsibility to notify the Registrar’s Office of your graduation intentions. If you plan to graduate this academic year, please file for graduation. (Intent to Graduate Form)
• It is your responsibility to notify the Registrar’s Office by email if you will not be returning. Make sure to include your Catawba ID number in your email.
• There are no refunds for winter or summer courses once the course begins. Course(s) must be dropped prior to the first day to receive a refund.
