Use the form below to report suspicious persons, activities or incidents on campus. The information shared is used to prevent and solve cases at Catawba. 

If there is an emergency situation in progress, call Catawba's Public Safety at 704.637.4000 or dial 911.

Catawba Connect, using the free SafeZone app, allows you to raise Duress, First Aid and Help Alerts for you and your community. With 24-hour access to Public Safety, getting help if you need it is just a click away. 

Features include:

• Check-in and Check-in Timer feature which allows you to share your live location with security responders if working alone or feeling vulnerable.
• Automatic alert sent on your behalf if you fail to extend or cancel the check-in timer. This is ideal if you are in areas of increased risk and want additional peace of mind.
• Reporting non-urgent concerns straight to Public Safety, as well as notifying you in the event of an emergency on site.

Catawba College's Office of Public Safety is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and in addition to patrolling and responding to emergencies, they're available to escort you back to your residence hall after a late dinner or study session, train you in emergency self-defense, and more!

Report a student’s behavior that you consider to be concerning, worrisome, or threatening as related to health and wellness. 

When a student is upset or in distress, it is common to turn to friends for support or advice. Much of the time, this works out well and your input helps your friend through a problem. At other times the problems that are brought by a friend can be very intense, feel overwhelming, or make you feel afraid. It is at this time that you can best help your friend by suggesting that they might benefit from talking to a professional.

Catawba College Counseling Services is there to support mental wellness through a variety of services to current students. All our services are free and strictly confidential. Our counselors are trained mental health professionals.

If you are not sure how to approach a student you are concerned about, contact Counseling Services at 704.645.4500 and ask to speak with a counselor. 

Catawba College's partnership with Uwill, the leading mental health and wellness solution for colleges and students, provides increased mental health support including:

When violations of the Catawba College Sexual Harassment Policy and/or Title IX Policy are alleged, the College considers most employees, whether faculty, staff, or student, to be Mandatory Reporters, except those designated as confidential resources.

When an employee becomes aware of a possible instance of sexual assault, stalking, dating or domestic violence, sexual harassment, or gender discrimination, the employee must immediately report the incident to the College Title IX Coordinator:
