Hometown: Harrisburg, North Carolina

Year of Catawba Graduation: 2021

Year of Hire: 2022

Favorite Places: My favorite places to be are on a soccer field, South Mountain State Park, botanical gardens, and the beach because I love being outside, exploring nature, and getting active in different ways.

Hobbies & Interests: I love playing soccer, photography, hiking, sewing, reading, writing, and eating Go Burrito.

I love Catawba College because it has introduced me to unique experiences, while allowing me to grow personally and professionally. The Development Office is my family away from home, which I am so thankful to be a part of.

Maddie is the Alumni and Development Communications Coordinator in the Development Office at Catawba College. Her role is to engage with alumni through social, digital, and print communications. She said, “stewardship plays a big part in making connections, as my goal is to continue learning about our alumni to celebrate and support them on their journey after Catawba.”

When asked why she chose to work at Catawba College, Maddie said, “I chose Catawba because the connections and support systems I made as a student encouraged me to start my professional career here. I wanted to be at Catawba, but take on the next phase of my life, so getting this opportunity was the best of both worlds.”

"I would not be the person I am today without seeing Catawba as a student, athlete, and now employee."
