Facilitate Strategic Workshops: Offer tailored workshops to divisions, departments, and schools to assist in strategic thinking and planning. By providing frameworks and tools, individuals and areas can be empowered to develop actionable strategies within their cascading plans aligned with the College's strategic Aims and Priorities set for the College’s Horizon.
Provide Consultation Services: Act as a strategic consultant and thought leader for key individuals such as administrators, cabinet officers, directors, and deans. Offer one-on-one sessions to help them refine their strategic aims, priorities, identify opportunities, and address challenges.
Offer Resource Allocation Guidance: Assist in resource allocation by providing insights into strategic priorities. Help departments and areas align their initiatives with the College's overarching strategic Aims to maximize impact and efficiency.
Foster Collaboration: Encourage cross-departmental collaboration and knowledge sharing to leverage collective expertise and resources. Facilitate communication channels where strategists can exchange ideas, best practices, and lessons learned.
Best Practices System Training: Provide training to individuals responsible for building and contributing to the College’s plan and cascading plans within the College’s adopted strategic plan management software, Envisio, including training on linking plan to the UN Sustainable Goal standards.
Monitor Progress and Provide Feedback: Establish mechanisms to track the implementation of strategic initiatives and assess their impact. Offer regular feedback and guidance to ensure alignment with the College's strategic direction and goals.
Promote a Culture of Strategic Thinking: Lead by example and champion a culture of strategic thinking and innovation across the institution. Recognize and celebrate individuals and teams who demonstrate excellence in strategic planning and execution.
Continual Learning and Development: Provide opportunities for professional development in strategic planning and implementation. Offer training programs, workshops, and resources to empower individuals to enhance their strategic capabilities.
Research and Analysis Resources: Make available research databases, analytical tools, and expertise to support evidence-based decision-making. Provide access to relevant data and facilitate research collaborations to inform strategic planning processes effectively. The Office can also support data collection, data analysis, and data visualization needs across campus. By incorporating research and analysis resources into your support framework, we can enhance the strategic capabilities of internal stakeholders and promote informed decision-making at Catawba College.
