TOPIC HORIZONS

• TOPIC 1, Experiential Learning: Go beyond the classroom and learn by doing. Catawba College students build on what they learn in class with hands-on experiences and community connections. Our students travel domestically and abroad, do research, create startups, teach in classrooms, and more. No matter what you choose to study, you can get experience in your field, connect with others, and develop the cultural agility needed to make a global impact.
• TOPIC 2, People Development: People development at Catawba College begins with our cultural onboarding program designed to foster personal fulfillment and purpose. At Catawba College, we strive to expand professional development opportunities, identify career ladders and training opportunities, promote family-friendly policies, and continually invest in a compensation system that attracts and retains the best faculty and staff.
• TOPIC 3, Student Experience: Through our intentional learning environment inside and outside the classroom, Catawba College holistically engages our students through a supportive campus life and living experience while also providing avenues to explore the broader world and sense of self.
