Tom Smith Scholarship
The Ketner School of Business offers the Tom Smith Business scholarship to new and transfer students attending on a full-time basis in-person.

This award can provide up to an annual $3,000 scholarship to individuals interested in the world of business. We award this scholarship to those we believe best embody the qualities of Catawba - Scholarship, Character, Culture, and Service. As a recipient, you will provide a role model and example to the student population of Catawba College, and carry its message to the world.

The Tom Smith Scholarship offers Catawba students assistance with their tuition costs and provides the following benefits.

Tom Smith Fellows participate in program offerings (six to eight events) through the Ketner School of Business each year to maintain the scholarship and fellowship
Tom Smith Fellows will be expected to attend the Tom Smith luncheon each Spring, interacting with Mrs. Martha Smith and faculty to provide individualized attention and mentoring.
As upperclassmen, Tom Smith Fellows serve as mentors for first-year students in the fellowship program.

Students who are eligible to apply for Catawba's Business scholarship must have an academic grade point average of 3.2 or above.

Current Catawba College students are not eligible for the Tom Smith Scholarship.

David Jordan Scholarship
This scholarship is designed to inspire high-achieving, mission-fit students with demonstrated need to enroll in the Ralph W. Ketner School of Business. The College will select one student each year as the recipient of the David Jordan Scholarship with an average award of $10,000. This is the highest and most prestigious award for a student enrolling in the Ketner School of Business.

National Association for Music Educators (NAfME), promoting college student involvement in the performance and teaching of music.
Music and Entertainment Industry Students Association (MEISA) to satisfy an interest in the music and entertainment industry.
Salisbury Symphony Orchestra, a community organization of professional musicians, teachers, students and local residents who are musically inclined.
The Blue Masque, Catawba's Theatre Arts student organization which hosts a variety of social activities, fundraisers, and service projects each year and is one of the oldest and largest clubs on campus.
Alpha Psi Omega, the national Theatre Honor Society and service organization for aspiring Theatre Arts professionals whose primary aim is to encourage dramatic production at every step in a person’s academic career.

2023 Catawba College Awards Ceremony Honors Students, Faculty, and Staff for Achievement and Service

Catawba College held its annual Awards Convocation on Thursday, April 20 in Omwake-Dearborn Chapel. Dr. Constance Rogers-Lowery, Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, thanked all of the award recipients who have demonstrated the qualities upon which Catawba College was founded: scholarship, character, culture, and service.

Catawba College Presidential Honor Roll Announced

A total of 115 students have been named to the Presidential Honor Roll List for the 2021-2022 academic year at Catawba College, according to Dr. Constance Rogers-Lowery, Provost of the College.

A total of 305 students have been named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2022 semester at Catawba College, according to Dr. Constance Rogers-Lowery, Provost of the College.
