A Circle of Light

Catawba College’s Circle of Light celebrates the people, memories, and lasting spirit that make our community special. During final exam week and our cherished Lessons & Carols services, luminaries will illuminate campus, creating a beautiful tribute to the loved ones who have shaped our lives and the connections that unite generations of Catawba alumni and friends. Names will be displayed in recognition of your generosity and their lasting impact.

As we look toward the future, Omwake-Dearborn Chapel faces structural challenges that must be addressed to preserve this treasured campus landmark for generations to come. Through Circle of Light, we invite alumni and friends to participate in this special tradition while supporting the preservation of our beloved chapel or the College’s greatest needs.

Reserve Your Luminary

Dedicate a luminary in honor or memory of someone special and help illuminate our campus this holiday season.
  • $50 | Dedicate a Luminary and notify them or a loved one of your gift
  • $100 | Dedicate a Luminary and Send a Commemorative Catawba Ornament, a keepsake celebrating the spirit and tradition of Catawba College.
We invite you to reserve your dedication by Friday, November 20th and join us in creating a meaningful display of light, remembrance, and Catawba pride. Reservations placed after this deadline may not guarantee recognition. Ornament shipment is dependent on USPS processing and shipping times but we will make every effort to ensure your ornament arrives before Christmas.
Thank you for helping us honor the people who have made a difference in our lives, preserve the places that connect us, and carry the light of Catawba forward for generations to come.
