Change the Face of American Theatre through Leadership

Working in theatre arts doesn't simply mean you’re a performer. The interdisciplinary Theatre Arts Administration major provides students with essential theatre arts knowledge, plus an understanding of business operations relating to theatre arts management and arts administration, resulting in highly sought-after, profitable careers in show business.

War of the Words - Behind Scenes

What takes place backstage and behind the scenes can truly make or break a theatrical production. Learn what it takes to make it succeed in Catawba College’s Theatre Arts Administration degree program. You’ll develop skills and gain knowledge related to the management, administration, and support of many facets of production companies, cultural agencies, advertisers, and performing arts promotional organizations through coursework, internships, and networking opportunities.

Foundational courses in acting, directing, design, and the history of theatre complement courses in business, marketing, and communications, preparing you to enter the workforce in production management, community engagement, promotions, public education coordination, or as a talent agent. Catawba College Theatre Arts Administration graduates may also pursue graduate education in performing arts management, business, or education.
