Students wishing to be part of our BA in Theatre Arts do not need to audition for the program.
However, if you would like to:

Use Acceptd to submit pre-screening digital portfolios/audition materials.

Register via Acceptd to attend one of our Theatre Arts Experience Days

What Happens Next?

Theatre Arts Faculty review your digital pre-screening materials

We will contact you via Acceptd to confirm your preferred Theatre Arts Experience Day date

We will send you details about arrangements for your visit

You will participate in one of our Theatre Arts Experience Days led by Catawba Theatre Arts faculty
-
We will notify you (typically within two weeks) of your recommended scholarship amount and/or degree track.

In order to be considered for one of our BFA Tracks or a Theatre Arts scholarship, you must visit campus.

If neither of the dates for our Theatre Arts Experience Days works with your schedule, a limited number of invitations may be issued for individual interviews (typically Fridays at noon, when we're in session). Students wishing to apply for an exception must first go through Acceptd and request a “Friday interview.”

9:00am — Welcome & Coffee
Hedrick Little Theatre -
9:30-11:00am
Performance Workshop (taught by a Catawba Performance faculty)
Florence Busby Corriher Theatre
Design/Tech Workshop (taught by D/T faculty)
Scene Shop or Costume Shop
Q&A with parents (conducted a Theatre Arts faculty member)
Hedrick Lobby -
11-12:30pm — Individual Interviews with Scholarship Candidates (approximately 10 minutes)

12:30-1:30pm — Lunch
Students and parents dismissed for lunch in the Cafeteria -
1:30-3pm — Theatre Arts facilities and/or Campus Tour
(Leave from Hedrick or Admissions) -
Afternoon — FREE TIME FOR EXPLORATION

7:30pm — Theatre Arts Production
(All attendees and their family members are provided with complimentary tickets)
Please Note: While we look forward to hosting you for the entire day, afternoon events are not a mandatory part of the scholarship audition process.
